Over the years, their collaboration expanded.
Gianni Versace designed Jackson's famous metallic gold stage outfit worn during the HIStory World Tour.
Jackson regularly wore custom pieces created by the designer throughout his life, both on- and off-stage.
The relationship continued even after Gianni's passing. The Versace fashion house famously dressed the entire Jackson family for Michael’s public memorial service in July 2009.
